I did bungee jumping in Macao, paragliding in Nepal, and skydiving in Australia. Still, I was excited in a different way – not sure if it was because I’ve long wanted to Cappadocia when I was young, or because it was indeed a breathtaking sight. I have not ridden the hot air balloon yet, but I was already in love. Again, the sights of hot air balloons with different colors and patterns backdropping the town and moving slowly and quietly were simply magical. From where I was sitting, I could see the entire surrounding. The next morning, I woke up early and went to the rooftop of my hostel. We arrived in Goreme early morning, just in time when hot air balloon flights were slowly taking off. While still inside the bus, I watched this scene, not minding my sleepiness and fatigue from the 10-hour night trip I took from Pamukkale. It was the time of the day when the night’s darkness was giving in to the daylight hence, you’ll only see the balloon’s silhouettes. A few minutes before reaching Goreme, the town in the Cappadocia region, the sights of countless balloons ascending the sky slowly appeared.
